Exaclty 10 days after they commenced a strike action to protest the
implementation of a law restricting their movements within Lagos
metropolis to night time by the Lagos State Government, truck drivers
and owners under the aegis of the Association of Maritime Truck Owners
(AMATO), the National Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) and
the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) have called
off their strike.
The strike was called off this afternoon at a meeting of
stakeholders in the maritime industry held at the Board Room of the
Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) Western Ports, Apapa.
